Journalism Publications

I am open for commissions!

My journalistic work has been published by The Irish Examiner, The Echo, Hot Press Magazine, Books Ireland Magazine, Cork Pride Magazine, Motley Magazine, and The Sprawling. In 2022, I won a National Student Media Award for Feature Writer of the Year: Arts & Culture. This was presented by Goss.ie.

– The Irish Examiner, 2026. An interview with comedian Laura O’Mahony on her passion for children’s television, being a public figure online, and the importance of craic!

– The Echo, 2023-2026.

  1. What Pride means to me, and the anticipation of homophobia during Pride month. (June, 2023)
  2. Adjusting to the differences of college after a difficult secondary school experience. (August, 2023)
  3. Maintaining a close relationship with my grandads despite our life experiences and age gaps. (2026)
  4. The consequences of creating a “contactless” society after Covid, and how it impacts all generations. (June, 2026)
  5. The necessity of implementing short breaks into our everyday lives, and trying to dislodge the guilt around it. (June, 2026)
  6. How important the “small joys” in life are in order to live a regulated life, and avoiding comparison with others’ “big joys”. (June, 2026)

– Books Ireland, 2026. A review of Lilliput Press’ “CTRL: Essays on Video Games”, an anthology that covers generations of gamers and their personal ties to video games as an art form.

– From Staff Writer to Deputy Editor in Chief at Motley, I wrote for the entertainment, fashion, and features sections. I covered many topics — delving into the meaning of makeup on Emmy Award winning HBO show “Euphoria”, to speaking candidly about mental health, to discussing “unlikeable” female protagonists in movies and reviewing albums.
