POETRY
“Jessica Anne Rose — what a find!
— Thomas McCarthy (Decorated Poet, Former Editor of Poetry Ireland Review, Patrick Kavanaugh Award Winner)

I was the recipient of the Miriam Cotter Award Scholarship 2024, for my Masters in Creative Writing at University College Cork. It is an award presented “to a writer of exceptional promise who comes from a traditionally underrepresented area of society.” I received a First Class Honours for my Masters Degree, and my thesis was titled “TO OPT FOR LIGHT“, a poetry collection dedicated to the neurodivergent experience. Before my Masters, I also achieved a First Class Honours in my Undergraduate degree at UCC in English.
